Austin Natural Soap was born out of a New Year's Resolution for the year 2000. It was years in the making...beginning as a fun and interesting hobby, and then quickly growing into a love and finally into an obsession. Thanks to you, our loyal customers, it has now evolved into a successful small business. The saga grew out from my personal long-standing search for bliss, simplicity, and change. With a Computer Science degree and a long career in Information Technology, I was ready for a change. A BIG change. Over the years, my creative side was always searching for an outlet. Soapmaking and creating natural body care products were a perfect fit - I got to combine my love of nature, my fascination with chemistry, and my constant yearning to create things by working with my hands.
We strived for a healthy alternative to commercial soap, and
found it! All of our Texas-sized soap (yes, we make 'em BIG - almost 5 oz.) is handcrafted in controlled small batches. Each batch is also super-fatted with premium luxury oils and butters (i.e. sweet almond, avocado, hemp seed, cocoa butter, shea butter, palma christi oil, and jojoba) - no skimping here! We do not use animal products or byproducts, petroleum, or sulfates. My recipes are researched and tested on friends and family (no animal testing) to insure the best results for your skin. The thoughtful combination of quality essential oils, organic herbs, and select, premium moisturizing oils produces our natural, luxurious soap.
